December

We had fun setting up our Christmas tree together. Owen wanted to put up all the ornaments which resulted in a highly concentrated area of ornaments at the bottom of the tree!
Charlie watched from his newly discovered favorite chair.

Then we headed downtown for the annual Dover Christmas tree lighting. To begin our Friday night out on the town, we needed to stop at Dos Amigos for some nourishment. Owen picked out the seat right next to the big window-prime location for watching the passing traffic!

The tree lighting was complete with a "talking" tree, carols, and a visit from Santa.

And then, what do you know, but the same Santa was also at the Noggin Factory the next day! My, that guy must be busy. Charlie found a cart to do some shopping and both boys sat on Santa's lap (with no crying). As you can see, Owen told Santa what he wanted for Christmas- surprise, surprise!

Thanksgiving 2010

With 10 adults and 10 kids it was a chaotic, but so fun, day.

About the only thing Owen ate for Thankgiving dinner was this roll....and then some ice cream of course!

Our attempt to keep the kids busy while we enjoyed a relaxing meal together. The movie captivated them for about 20 minutes. Not too bad.

Owen's parenting lesson

Once in a while Owen will take on the role of parent. Here is his latest lesson on hitting.
(And for the record...mommy doesn't hit...don't know where that came from!?)

A Charlie Attack

Charlie's hair occasionally fits his personality. And I think this video captures it well. There's no stopping him!

A sippy cup dilemma...

While unloading the dishwasher, Owen said he wanted to put Charlie's sippy cup back together. "I can do it Mommy!"

I was just loving this running commentary. He might run out of words to say, but that doesn't mean he stops talking!

One afternoon

An afternoon of raking and playing in the leaves.

Checking out the leaves that were still left on the tree. Not too many!

The black dots on his nose were from getting into Mommy's pens earlier in the day.

I know there are a lot of these photos...but he was just being so cute.

Driving through the leaves...not so easy.

As you can see by Charlie's face, things were starting to get a little too rowdy for his liking.

Owen's "races." These videos seem like they were shot in slow motion because it was about the 14th time he had done this!

Halloween

Halloween 2010 started with pumpkin carving. With Daddy's design and Mommy's carving skills, we created some pretty good jack o' lanterns!

After naptime Owen and Charlie opened a special Halloween surprise from Nana and Pop pop. Some special treats to have for snack. Very creative Nana & Pop pop!

Then it was off to our friends' house to trick or treat with the gang. BB & Grandpa were here visiting, so they joined us. We let them come even though they didn't have a costume. ;-)

BB & Charlie the bear.

Owen lining up cars in his puppy costume.

Our annual attempt at a group photo. I wasn't able to catch all of these little buggers at the same time!

Missing Levi, Caleb, & Hailey....but these are the kiddos.

And they're off...

Charlie opted to ride in style.

All lined up, waiting for candy. So cute.

Time to go home. What a fun night!

A Saturday trip to Emery Farm

We can't get enough of Emery Farm! This time with our buddies, the Hartters. First we had to get some grass to feed the donkeys.

Playing on the wagon after the hayride.

Take a look at Charlie....yeah, it was time to go....

A Halloween Preview

Halloween is over a week away. But I couldn't resist posting this photo of Owen trying on his halloween costume to make sure it fit....oh it fits alright, and it's so stinking cute!

A Day at Children's Hospital

Charlie went in for surgery for a hernia repair and was such a trooper. He loved the waiting room. Lots of fun toys. They know how to take care of little guys at Boston Childrens' Hospital.

Ok, the waiting room was fun, but now I'm hungry and not so sure about this whole pre-op thing.

Looking out the window was not a successful distraction from that empty tummy!

This is on the ride home. Charlie did great, the surgery went smoothly, and after this photo he slept the entire way home. Babies are so resilient!
