New Years in Maine

Super Owen wiped out after driving the plasma car all over the house!

Daily walks down the road in Maine. As you can tell, it was very chilly!

No napping in the morning. So we headed out for a walk.

Mission accomplished.

Each walk included feeding the horses at the end of our road. This one was trying to give Nana some kisses.

Can you find the Golder sign? Not easy, I know. If only we had an artist in the family who could fix that? Hmm

Owen wimped out of the walk at approximately .2 miles....(of the 2 miles to go). So it was a good thing that Pop pop brought the sled. Auntie Ash volunteered to carry the extra weight!

Until Owen decided to give it a try. That didn't last very long!

Charlie's favorite spot. Watching the lake activity from the sunset window.

We took a trip to Portland to drop Ashley & Kellen off at the bus stop and to visit the Portland Children's Museum. The boys loved the excursion!

Despite his parents distaste for eggs, Owen is a fan. Thought his Daddy would love this photo. Eggs for dinner with Aunt Pat!

Out for another walk...
feeding the horses apples
how do i turn this thing on?

On New Years Day the lake was scattered with ice fisherman. We ventured out. If the ice could hold ice huts and 4 wheelers, we figured it could hold us too.

Christmas in Allentown

On Christmas Eve the boys got to stay up late and celebrate with cousin Brody. After a yummy dinner it was time to put on Christmas pj's! Thanks Nana!

Brody opening presents.

Owen got to open one present on Christmas eve. He was very patient while Brody opened all of his!

Leaving a note for Santa before bedtime.

On Christmas morning it's Golder tradition to wait at the top of the stairs while Dad goes down to check and see if Santa came (really to make coffee...first things first). So this year we did the same. Eric went down to check and we all waited to hear the news....
"Hurray!" was Owen's response. I've never seen a little boy so excited!

Charlie was eager to check out the goods.

The dads checking out the new toys.

Uncle Kellen reading Charlie his new book.

Owen decided to give Charlie a ride on his new plasma car. This didn't last very long, but it was cute.
